Methodist offers Diabetes Self-Management Education Classes and Support and Education Group - June 18, 2018
Methodist Hospitals offers a variety of programs for patients with Diabetes. Listed below is the schedule of summer programs in June, July and August:
- Diabetes Self-Management Education Classes involve all aspects of treatment education as well as prevention of chronic complications. This class is held the first three Wednesdays of each month, 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. or 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Southlake Campus, Pavilion D, 303 E. 89th, Merrillville. Classes are also offered the first three Tuesdays of each month, 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Northlake Campus, 600 Grant St., Gary (meet by booth #5 in outpatient registration). To register, call 219-738-5802. Patients must have a physician referral.
- Diabetes Support and Education Group discusses topics related to diabetes. This program is for persons with diabetes and their family members. This program is held on the fourth Tuesday of each month, 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at Northlake Campus (meet at main lobby), 600 Grant St., Gary, and from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Southlake Campus, Pavilion D, 303 E. 89th, Merrillville.
