Blood supplies are near critical low levels

“In the U.S., every two seconds someone needs blood. One person’s donation can save up to three people’s lives. We are in the thick of “trauma season” and there is a critical shortage of blood supply. I encourage everyone who is able to donate to take an hour’s worth of time to do so. You can help save lives” said Jen Mullen, BSN, RN,CEN,TCRN, Trauma Program Coordinator.

For questions about the blood drive call Doretha Thomas, Home Health Manager, at 219-886-4993 or 1-800-Red Cross.
