Jim Concato Awarded Cancer Control Champion by the Indiana Cancer Consortium - December 11, 2018

Jim Concato, Director of Oncology Services  at Methodist Hospitals,  was one of six healthcare professionals awarded 2018 Cancer Control Champion by the Indiana Cancer Consortium (ICC).  He was awarded this honor for exhibiting leadership in implementing the ICC Cancer Control Plan through participation in action teams, and local cancer coalitions.

“Jim shows strong dedication to cancer prevention and control and has demonstrated high leadership capability through regional coalitions.  He has taken on additional projects, led initiative efforts, led recruiting efforts, and served and an ICC ally throughout his region, District 1.  He truly shows the commitment and passion necessary to be an ICC Cancer Control Champion, “said Rishika Chauhan, Director, Indiana Cancer Consortium.

The 2018 ICC Annual Meeting was held at Ivy Tech Corporate College and Culinary Center in Indianapolis, Indiana.   Jim Concato was nominated for this award by Rachelle Anthony, Hospitals Health Systems Manager, at the American Cancer Society.
