Wright Alcorn has joined Methodist Hospitals as Vice President of Operations. Wright
has vast experience in hospital and health system administration and operations. He has held the role of interim-Vice President Operations since February 27th, 2012 and has been effective and well received throughout the Methodist Hospitals organization
over this time.
Wright will have responsibilities for Centers of Excellence, clinical ancillary departments including Laboratory Radiology/Imaging and Outpatient Diagnostics and the Facilities,
Plant Operations, and Food Service areas. Before coming to Methodist Hospitals, Wright was at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia for over 19 years. Piedmont is a leading health care provider in the Atlanta area. He was the Vice President of Patient Services with responsibility for key clinical operations of the Hospital including Pharmacy, Laboratory,
Physical & Occupational Therapies, Respiratory Therapy, Sleep Center, Wound Care Center, Diabetes Resource Center, and the inpatient Rehabilitation Unit, Oncology Service, Neuroscience Service Line and the Transplant Service Line. Prior to this Wright was an Assistant Vice President at the Methodist Hospital, Houston, TX for six years. Wright holds a Masters in Healthcare Administration from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri and is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
