The Northlake Campus is located 1 mile west of Broadway in downtown Gary. It is acessible from Grant Street exit North of I-94, and via the I-80/90 Toll Road Grant Street exit. The Southlake Campus is located 1/2 mile south of U.S 30 on Broadway. The Midlake Campus: Additional facilities can be found on our contact us page. MRSA and Methodist Hospitals Methodist Hospitals is very proactive in addressing prevention and control of MRSA and other multi-drug resistant organisms. All staff receives ongoing education to increase awareness regarding interventions aimed at reducing hospital-acquired infections. Interventions include: alcohol based hand gels readily available throughout the hospital, monitoring staff for hand hygiene compliance, ongoing educational offerings to both medical staff and nursing, increased awareness in the ER of skin and soft tissue MRSA infections, updated antibiogram to help physicians select the appropriate treatment, and pharmacy antibiotic review to ensure patients are on the appropriate antibiotics. Hand hygiene plays an integral role in reducing the transmission and occurrence of infection both in the hospital and home. Posted visiting hours are 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. Monday – Sunday. Visitors must be at least 16 years of age. Your family and friends are welcome to visit you while you are here. We ask that no more than two persons visit at a time and that all visitors check in at the nurses' station before entering your room. Visitors should not bring in any food or beverage for you without your physician's approval. Please be considerate. If you have a cold, the flu, a fever, or any type of communicable disease, please visit the hospital at another time. Maternal Child Services Visiting Hours If you have additional questions, we welcome them. Please call our Labor Maternal Child Services Visiting Policy As a patient, your privacy and rights are important to us. For your convenience, you can access your right to privacy under HIPAA. Northlake: The Admissions Office is located in the main lobby . Hours are 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday. We encourage you to pre-register by calling 886.4610. Southlake: The Admissions Office is located near the Emergency Department. Hours are 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday. We encourage you to pre-register by calling 738.5518. During registration for medical services or testing, information and authorization will be needed for your medical record and for financial arrangements. Please bring any insurance materials including your insurance and/or Medicare or Medicaid card. The Central Business Office is located at 6121 Cleveland St., Merrillville. If calling about your bill, please have your the patient ID number and the date of service available.
