Methodist Hospitals Partners with Community Organizations to Hold Spring Community Health Fair in Gary - May 13, 2013

What: Methodist Hospitals will host their Annual Spring Community Health Fair this year at the Gary Southshore Railcats Stadium in Gary, Indiana.

Who: In previous years this event has been held at the Methodist Midlake Campus. This year’s event has been moved to the Gary Southshore Railcats, and is being co-sponsored by the Railcats, Strack & VanTil, Fuel Fitness, and the Lake County Minority Health Coalition. The following activities is a sampling of the offering at this year’s health fair:
• Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar, Cholesterol, Bone Density, PSA and Body Mass Index screenings
• Heart Attack, Stroke, and Lung Cancer Risk Assessments
• Foot Care Clinic
• Diabetes Education
• Zumba and Senior Sneaker demos provided by Fuel Fitness
• Raffle prizes and discounted coupons to attend the Gary Southshore Railcats game at 2:00 p.m.
• And much more

When: The event will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Health Fair will be followed by the Gary Southshore Railcats game at 2:00 p.m. Gates open at 1:00 p.m.

Where: One Stadium Plaza, Diamond Center, Gary, Indiana
