Methodist Hospitals to Offer Farmer’s Market Third Year in a Row - June 8, 2016

After Methodist Hospitals conducted a Community Health Needs Assessment in 2013 one of the issues identified was the lack of availability of fresh fruits and vegetables at affordable prices in the Gary community. As a result Methodist Hospitals Food Services Department is offering a series of Farmer’s Market and Food Fairs at wholesale prices to promote nutrition and enhance the availability of fresh produce to the Gary and surrounding communities. This is the third year the Farmer’s Markets are being offered.

The Farmer’s Market will be held on the following Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Northlake Campus parking lot located directly across from the Administration Building and next to McDonalds:

Friday, June 17
Friday, July 15
Friday, July 29
Friday, August 12
Friday, August 26

Look for the big white tent and the Farmer’s Market signs. There will be lots of fresh, delicious fruits and vegetables at wholesale prices in addition to cooking demonstrations by Methodist Hospitals Chefs.
