Methodist Physician Group (MPG) is an organization of hospital-employed physicians dedicated to advancing Methodist Hospital’s mission to provide the best quality care to all those in need. MPG members place all their focus on patient care, leaving the hassles of practice management and finance to others.
Membership includes:

• Hospitalist support for physicians who prefer an entirely office-based practice

All MPG practices utilize the Epic electronic medical record, providing full integration of your patients’ office records with their hospital records and placing you in compliance with “meaningful use” requirements. In addition, Epic enhances patient safety. With Epic, treatment orders, medication orders, are entered directly into the Epic system greatly reducing the chance of miscommunication and misinterpretation. Prescriptions are sent to pharmacies electronically, as a result, patient’s safe care need not be jeopardized by the legibility of handwriting. Automatic alerts are delivered to warn of potential drug interactions or drug allergies when a medication is initially prescribed.

During 2010, major facility investments began with the replacement of all patient room furnishings – from beds to chairs to tables – at both campuses.
Our outpatient facility, the Midlake Campus in Gary, is conveniently located between the Northlake and Southlake campuses just off of Interstate 94. Since 2003, Midlake's Rehab Center has provided exceptional outpatient rehabilitation services. Physician offices and other services are also located at this facility.
At all three locations, Methodist Hospitals' patients benefit from the most up-to-date technologies, procedures, and practices, delivered with compassionate care. Our combined medical staff of more than 400 physicians represents nearly 60 medical specialties. Methodist is a major employer with 2,000 staff members and our volunteer guild is more than 200 strong.
