New Merrillville Surgery Center Ribbon Cutting provided by Merrillville Chamber of Commerce on October 18
Methodist physicians are invited to an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Merrillville Surgery Center on October 18th, 2006. The new outpatient surgery center is in the new Outpatient Pavilion located on Methodist Hospitals Southlake Campus at 101 E 87th Avenue.
The facility was planned and constructed as a joint venture between physicians and the hospital. The new Merrillville Surgery Center includes five surgery suites, two procedure rooms, one pediatric room and a recovery area.
The completed surgery center adds a new level of convenience and safety for outpatients who visit the facility for surgeries and procedures. Paul Stanish, a surgeon who will be practicing at the new surgery center states, “Easy access to the hospital enhances patient safety in the event of emergencies or unexpected outcomes during outpatient surgery.” Outpatient surgery services will be offered for: Bariatric (weight loss surgery), ENT (ear, nose and throat), Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Gynecology, Orthopedics, Pain Management, Plastic, Podiatry, Pulmonary and Urology.
Built by AGGCO, the Outpatient Pavilion is a 95,280 square foot facility designed for the convenience of patients and physicians alike. The proximity to the hospital makes the location attractive for physicians who will inhabit the upstairs suites when complete.
