November is Prematurity Month!
Methodist Hospitals believes in providing quality care to even our smallest patients! Our comprehensive high-risk OB services include a monthly Free Neonatal Follow-Up Clinic. Patient's neonatologist writes the order for this clinic if they qualify, not all preemies get an order, the preemie must be less than 36 weeks or have other conditions.
Parents bring their babies and meet with neonatologist, physical therapist, and nurses from neonatal intensive care units. The babies are assessed and evaluated. The Children's Development Center at Midlake is also introduced as a resource at this time.
