The March of Dimes issued a $400 grant and a rocking chair to Methodist Hospitals’ Neonatal Intensive Care Units. “We’re very excited to award Methodist Hospitals with this grant,” said Victor Garcia, Division Director for the March of Dimes. “These funds are going to be used to purchase educational materials for expecting and new moms. Methodist Hospitals has been very committed to the March of Dimes mission of reducing preterm birth, birth defects, and infant mortality. The staff at Methodist Hospitals work tirelessly each and every day to help babies in Northwest Indiana survive and thrive. In addition to the grant, we are proud to donate this rocking chair in honor of the Tim and Lisa Stacy family of Highland. The Stacy’s and their March for Babies walk team “The Stacy Stampede” have done an amazing job each and every year in fundraising for the March of Dimes.”
Methodist Hospitals has been a sponsor of the March of Dimes for many years. Methodist Hospitals has neonatal intensive care units at both their Northlake and Southlake Campuses.
