Hospital announces new board officers - July 22, 2014

GARY  |  The Methodist Hospitals Board of Directors recently elected new officers.

Mamon Powers Jr., was elected chairman. Powers, who has been on the board since 2001, replaces William Braman, who served as chair for four years and had served on the board since 1993.

Joining Powers as board officers are Scott Ribordy as vice chairman, Frances Taylor as secretary and John Lowenstine as treasurer.

Powers is President and CEO of Powers & Sons Construction Co. Inc. Ribordy is an investment broker with Merrill Lynch and has been on the board since 2001.

Taylor is a former chief nursing officer at Methodist Hospitals and Lowenstine owns a practice, John A. Lowenstine, CPA. Taylor and Lowenstine joined the Board in 2011.

“We are delighted to welcome these respected leaders to their new roles at Methodist Hospitals,” said Dr. Michael Davenport, President and Interim CEO, in a statement. “The next two years will be exciting as well as challenging ones at Methodist as we continue to invest in the health system for the benefit of our patients.”

Outgoing officers include Braman, Dr. Douge Barthelemy and Glen Vician.
