We provide services to people who experience limitations in their lives as a result of injury, pain or disease. Patients who come to Methodist Hospitals receive physical, occupational, and speech therapy, counseling, education, nursing care and treatment by a physician who specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Through our program, people regain strength, mobility and self-reliance. We work to improve each individual's physical and emotional health and optimize his or her functional abilities. Our state-of-the-art facilities and expert staff place both our inpatient rehabilitation services and outpatient rehabilitation services at the pinnacle of healthcare. Outpatient Rehabilitation Services Midlake Campus Physical therapy restores functional mobility, enabling people to perform activities of daily living. Together, the physical therapist, the referring professional and the patient set goals to improve range, strength, balance, coordination, endurance and safety, achieving greater independence. Outpatient Physical Therapy Services at Methodist Hospitals emphasize patient self-responsibility for better outcomes and utilize a multidisciplinary approach to care when appropriate. Inpatient Rehabilitation Services The Rehabilitation Unit provides care for people who need specialized treatment due to a disability and helps patients and their families work toward the highest level of function possible. Diagnoses include traumatic brain injury, stroke and other neurological disorders, spinal cord injury, amputation and orthopedic disorders. Services:
Methodist Hospitals Pain Management Are you letting pain manage you? Methodist Hospitals can help. Methodist Hospitals offers the Pain Management Center, an outpatient service for chronic pain patients. Whether you are suffering from chronic back or neck pain, neuropathy, neuralgia’s cancer pain, headaches, fibromyalgia, myofascial pain syndrome, or multiple varieties of pain, the Pain Management Center treats each patient individually, using the latest equipment and various innovative procedures to diagnose pain and determine your care needs. There are three components to this program: Medication Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Behavioral Health. Treatment plans can include a combination of invasive procedures such as drug therapies, nerve blocks and implantable devices or non-invasive procedures such as physical therapies or behavioral health.
