Award Winning Patient Education is the Key
Education is an important part of the patient’s experience at the Center for Hip and Knee Surgery. Our education program has been nationally recognized as the winner of the 2002 California Pacific Award for Patient Education.
Before surgery each patient receives training and views a video about his or her diagnosis and the joint replacement procedure so they know what to expect and how to prepare for their surgery.
Once the surgery has been completed, the team of nurse and therapists assists patients in reaching their goals to regain their strength and mobility for living as independently as possible. The care coordinator will assist each patient and their family with any needs they may have related to discharge.
