Clinical Trials

In association with the University of Chicago, Methodist gives you access to the latest clinical trials including the Cancer and Leukemia Group B (CALGB) national clinical research trials.

Clinical trials include treatment trials, which attempt to find new treatment for people who have cancer, to prevention and early detection/screening trials to quality of life/supportive care trials. Participation in any clinical trial is voluntary and you are free to leave a trial at any time, for any reason.

Quality

Methodist Hospitals participates in the Cancer Registry Database. This Registry connects Methodist with a nationwide network of nearly 1,500 approved cancer programs, making us part of the larger fight against cancer. Through the Registry, we share cancer data with the National Cancer Database for comparison and quality management. Internally, we use the data collected for continuous improvement and to drive development of programs and services to benefit our patients. Patient privacy is completely protected at all times – the information utilized does not contain any personal information. View the 2016 Patient Outcomes Report.
