The highly qualified heart and vascular specialists at Methodist Hospitals work together to provide the highest level of patient care. And our Chest Pain Coordinator is dedicated to guiding heart attack patients through inpatient treatment and post discharge recovery and rehabilitation.
With a goal of providing the best cardiovascular care in NW Indiana, we use the most advanced medical procedures to expertly diagnose and treat even the most complex cardiovascular conditions. Methodist Hospitals offers the very latest technologies, including five Cardiac Catheterization Labs between our two campuses, a state-of-the-art Electrophysiology Lab at our Southlake Campus and Indiana’s first and only Optical Coherence Tomography platform.
Methodist Hospitals is experienced in the treatment of all types of heart disease, including heart attack, irregular heart rhythm, congestive heart failure and heart muscle and valve diseases. And we have special expertise in coronary artery disease and other vascular diseases.

Accredited Chest Pain Center by the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care
Methodist Hospitals has earned Chest Pain Center Accreditation by the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care (SCPC) in recognition of its high level of experience in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients who may be experiencing heart attacks. As an Accredited Chest Pain Center, Methodist Hospitals ensures that patients who arrive at the hospital complaining of chest pain or other symptoms of a heart attack receive the treatment necessary during the critical window of time when the integrity of the heart muscle can be preserved.
To earn this accreditation, Methodist Hospitals met or exceeded a wide range of stringent criteria, including rigorous performance standards, and on-site evaluations by the Society of Chest Pain Centers. Methodist Hospitals’ state-of-the-art heart care encompasses the entire continuum of care for the potential heart attack patient and includes such focal points as dispatch, an Emergency Medical System, Emergency Department, Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Quality Assurance Plan, and a Community Outreach Program.
Cardiac Patient Support Group Meetings
Methodist Hospital is bringing together cardiac patients, family and friends to share personal experiences, successes and struggles, offer one another emotional support and get practical advice and knowledge. We look forward to seeing everybody in the meeting.
