Hospitals receiving this award rank among the top five percent
of all hospitals nationwide in terms of providing care to women

procedures, and women’s bone and joint health.
- HealthGrades: Methodist Hospitals’ was recognized for clinical
excellence, six years in a row, for treating stroke patients,
and awarded the 2010 Stroke Care Excellence Award, placing the
hospital in the top ten percent nationwide.
- HealthGrades: Methodist Hospitals has received a rating of Five
Stars, the highest rating a hospital can get from HealthGrades,
for the treatment of congestive heart failure, the treatment of
respiratory failure and for gastrointestinal surgeries and

- Heart Association/American Stroke Association: Silver Status Get
With the Guidelines Stroke Module recognizes Methodist Hospitals

- American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery: Methodist Hospitals

- Commission on Cancer: Methodist Hospitals has been accredited by the since
1974 and is given the even higher distinction of “Accreditation
with Commendation,” by collecting nine out of a possible nine
commendations for the program’s commitment to excellence.
- American College of Surgeons: Methodist Hospitals is also a Five Star
Investor and Five Star Community Investor in the fight against
cancer through the American Cancer Society's Workplace Solutions
program.
