Ian E. McFadden, FACHE, President, Chief Executive Officer
Was appointed to the position of CEO/President on
September 2, 2008. He earned his B.S. in Healthcare
Management as well as his M.S in Hospital Administration
at the University of Alabama. He went on to complete his
MBA from the University of Memphis. Ian brings with him
23 years of experience holding senior leadership
positions at for-profit and not-for-profit private and
public healthcare systems. Prior to joining Methodist
Hospitals he held the following leadership positions:
President and Chief Executive Officer at Caritas Health
Services in Louisville, Kentucky; Chief Operating
Officer at Shelby County Healthcare Corporation Regional
Medical Center in Memphis, Tennessee; Vice President of
Hospital Services at West Tennessee Healthcare in
Jackson, Tennessee; Chief Operating Officer for HCA
Putnam Community Hospital in Palatka, Florida and most
recently CEO for Roseland Community Hospitals in
Chicago, Illinois. In addition to these senior
leadership positions, Ian was a Senior Operations
Executive for FTI Cambio Health Solutions in Brentwood,
Tennessee. During his tenure with FTI Cambio, he served
as: Chief Operating Officer for Alameda County Medical
Center in Oakland, California and President and Chief
Executive Officer for Essex Valley Healthcare in East
Orange, New Jersey.

Loren F. Chandler, FACHE, CPA, Vice President, Chief Financial Officer
Was appointed to the position of CFO on
September 15, 2008. He earned his B.S. in Accounting and
Finance from the College of Idaho in Caldwell, Idaho. He
then went on to complete his MBA from the University of
Texas - Permian Basin, in Odessa Texas. During his
career he has held many senior leadership positions in
many Healthcare systems, including: Vice President of
Program Development and Chief Financial Officer at
Missouri Baptist Medical Center (part of the BJC
Healthcare System) in St. Louis, Missouri; Chief
Operating Officer at Fort Sanders Regional Medical
Center in Knoxville, Tennessee; Chief Operating Officer
at Brandywine Hospital (part of Community Health
Systems, Nashville, Tennessee) in Coatesville,
Pennsylvania; Chief Executive, Chief Operations and
Chief Financial Officer at Scenic Mountain Medical
Center (part of Community Health Systems, Nashville,
Tennessee) in Big Spring, Texas; Chief Financial Officer
at Carlsbad Medical Center in Carlsbad, New Mexico and
most recently Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
at Lovelace Health System in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Michael Davenport, M.D., Vice President, Medical Affairs
Was appointed to Chief Medical Officer/Vice President of
Medical Affairs on March 9, 2009. Dr. Davenport is a
physician executive who has operated in the CMO/VP role
for the past 12 years at Advocate Trinity Hospital, an
urban safety-net community hospital located in Chicago.
Dr. Davenport earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from
Yale University with a pre-med concentration. He then
went on to graduate from the University of Illinois
Medical School as a Doctor of Medicine. Dr. Davenport
completed his internship at Cook County Hospital in
Chicago.

Denise C. Dillard, Vice President, Government and External Affairs
Joined the Methodist Hospital staff in 2005, as Vice
President of Human Resources and Corporate Development.
A graduate of Howard University and Indiana University,
with an economics and political science background she
received a broad scope of experience in planning and
development. Currently serving as Vice President of
Government & External Affairs, Denise oversees
government and community relations, mission services,
employee assistance program, grants/donations and has an
extensive relationship with local schools, including
colleges and universities. Denise Dillard, an active
person in the community; confronts issues of economic
development, education, and equal access to
opportunities on a continual basis. Her experiences
have crossed the arenas of profit, non-profit, and
public service, giving a wide exposure of assistance on
legislation and public policy concerns to many involved
in the growth of communities at the local, state and
national levels. A participant in many community issues,
Denise Dillard is a member of the Gary and Merrillville
Chambers of Commerce, Rotary Club, March of Dimes, AHEC
State Board, Indiana Toll Road Advisory Board, Northwest.

Anthony K. Jones, Vice President, Operations
Was appointed Vice President Operations on November 10,
2008. He earned his Bachelors of Science from Abilene
Christian University in Dallas, Texas and then went on
to complete his Masters in Health Administration at St.
Louis University in St. Louise, Missouri. Tony brings
with him a strong background in operations, working
successfully to turnaround a variety of hospitals,
including not-for-profit, for-profit and an academic
medical center. He was most recently the President of
VSE Healthcare Partners, in Atlanta, GA. VSE Healthcare
is a hospital management and consulting firm
specializing in the provision of management consulting
services to financially-distressed institutions. During
his career he has held leadership positions with
healthcare systems and University settings, including:
President, St. John Hospital and Medical Center -
Detroit, MI, Executive Vice President/COO, St. Francis
Hospital - Memphis, TN, Chief Operating Officer,
University Medical Center - Las Vegas, NV, Chief
Operating Officer, United Healthcare System – Newark, NJ
and, Administrator/COO, Atlantic City Medical Center -
Atlantic City, NJ.

Michele "Shelly" M. Major, MS, MBA, RN, Vice President, Chief Nursing Officer
Was appointed to Chief Nursing Officer on November 3,
2008. She has over 29 years of healthcare experience. Shelly
completed her BSN and MS in Nursing Administration from
Northwestern University. She recently completed her MBA from
Lewis University. She is listed in the 1993 Who's Who in
American Nursing and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau
International. She is also serving on the Board of the
Service League of Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Shelly has
held a variety of nursing management positions at
institutions such as Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Christ
Hospital and Medical Center, The Rehabilitation Institute of
Chicago and local Northwest Indiana Hospitals. Her
professional memberships include American College of Health
Care Executives, American Organization of Nurse Executives,
Illinois Organization of Nurse Leaders and Indiana
Organization of Nurse Executives. Her vision for Nursing at
Methodist Hospitals is to be the renowned leader for
innovative Nursing Practice and Quality, recognized for
achieving excellent patient care outcomes.

Elizabeth Sullivan, Executive Director, Business Development
Beth Sullivan, a senior business development and operations executive, is responsible for creating new programs and services, driving growth, and improving competitive position, financial performance and operational excellence for Methodist Hospitals.Most recently, she served as Administrative Director, Business Initiatives at St. James Hospital and Health Centers where she was responsible for marketing, physician relations, strategic planning and the Center for Bariatric Surgery. Prior to joining St. James, she was Vice President, Administration at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology where she was responsible for all aspects of the school's operations including the offices of admission, student services, financial aid, development and alumni relations, as well as technology services, legal affairs, and facility planning and operations. Ms. Sullivan received her BSN from Marquette University and her JD, with honors, from Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology. She is licensed in Illinois as a Registered Nurse and is admitted to the Illinois Bar. Her professional affiliations include memberships in several organizations including the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development. |
