THE
CENTER FOR SLEEP DISORDER The Sleep Disorder Center is a full-service sleep evaluation and treatment facility that has been devoted to superior patient care for over a dozen years. Because we abide by nationally recognized, updated and recommended standards of practice in sleep disorders medicine, the latest advances in diagnostic and treatment methods are offered to residents of our region. In addition, we are the single regional sleep disorders clinic and laboratory with published clinical research and the only sleep medicine center in Northwest Indiana with a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Board Certified Sleep Specialist actively involved in each patient's evaluation. Evaluation of patients with sleep disturbances includes an initial consultation, which focuses on a person's sleep-wake patterns and habits, as well as symptoms of over 70 clearly identified sleep disorders. Following consultation, treatment may be immediately implemented or patients may spend one or more nights in one of our three private and comfortable bedrooms for further diagnostic evaluation. and evaluation procedures are conducted with people experiencing
the following types of sleep disturbances: With proper
evaluation and diagnosis, most of these conditions can be appropriately
treated. Importantly, current accepted therapies include medications,
short-term psychotherapy, surgical procedures, CPAP and other behavioral
