
The first
Lake County hospital inpatient unit for psychiatric care opened
at Methodist in 1951. Behavioral Medicine Services today encompasses
an extensive array of special care programs, facilities, and
community outreach. Psychiatric specialists, specially trained
nurses and therapists and a network including community resources
and a link to area employers are available.
Inpatient Treatment
as well as outpatient services have been consolidated into a new
addition at Northlake Campus to meet the needs of patient convenience,
ease of access and parking.

Both the child and the adolescent programs are structured to include
a therapeutic classroom setting and individual, group, and family
therapy.
