An Amazing Tranformation! Methodist Hospitals is hosting the 4th annual Weight Loss Surgery Style Showcase and Celebration featuring twelve bariatric surgery patients who are proud to show off their new physiques. The thing that makes this group really special is that we have two husband wife couples that went through the surgery together! Eddie and Amelia Scott made the decision that their weight was holding them back from living the life they wanted to. Eddie had his surgery first. Amelia took care of him post-surgery and watched his weight drop and his health improve. She decided she would also take that step. Eddie has lost almost 200 pounds and Amelia has now lost almost 150. Their lives have changed drastically and they cannot wait to share their story! Darryl and Angie Cobb were depressed about their escalating weight and health problems. Daryl had reached a weight of almost 450 pounds! He knew it was time to do something. In January of last year he decided to have gastric bypass surgery. Angie saw the dramatic changes in her husband and later that year decided to also have gastric bypass surgery. She has lost just over 100 pounds. Her husband has lost over 200 pounds. They know have a more active lifestyle and love to take long bike rides together, something she never thought was possible! Join us to celebrate the men and women who have succeeded in creating a new healthy lifestyle as a result of our weight loss surgery program. The event has been a great success in the past, showcasing the inspiring stories of the patients. Family, friends, and members of the community who are interested in taking this important step towards a healthier future, attend this event. The event is Saturday, November 10 at noon at the Avalon Manor in Merrillville. The participants will tell their stories to the audience while their before pictures are shown and then walk out onto the stage to showcase what their hard work has resulted in. This is often an emotional event for everyone in attendance. Please contact me to interview any of our participants as they prepare for the big show.
