Methodist Hospitals Offers Free Health Fair
Methodist Hospitals is inviting the public to its free community health fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., May 20, at Methodist Hospitals Midlake Campus, 2269 W. 25th Avenue, Gary.
Attendees will be able to take advantage of more than $1,000 worth of free health screenings and safety information. The free screenings include:
- Asthma/Oximetry
- Blood Pressure
- Blood Sugar
- Body Fat
- Cartoid Bruit
- PSA – Prostate Screenings
Families are encouraged to attend and there will be several activities available for children. The Gary Fire Department will be in attendance with their Fire Safety House to inform kids about fire safety.
Free health information will be available for those interested in diabetes, cardiology, oncology, women’s and children’s health, varicose veins, behavioral medicine, neuroscience, nutrition, and poison control. Individuals can also ask family physicians questions at the Ask-A-Doctor booth.
