Emergency Medical Technician Training Programs

The Methodist Hospitals, REGIONAL COORDINATION CENTER has begun accepting applications for enrollment in the next Emergency Medical Technician Training Programs to be held at our hospital in Gary (Midlake Campus), Portage Fire Department, and Prompt Ambulance in Highland beginning on Feb 8 and 9.

Acceptance into the program will be on a first come basis of individuals who fulfill enrollment requirements, until all available positions are filled. Class sizes are limited.

Enrollment Location:
Registration and enrollment for all four classes will be conducted in Classroom 149 of Methodist Hospitals Midlake Campus, 2269 W. 25th St. on the following dates and times:

Wednesday December 16, 2009 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Tuesday January 12, 2010 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM (Noon)
Monday January 18, 2009 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM

For over 25 years, the hospital's Regional Coordination Center for Emergency Medical Services has provided training programs for Emergency Medical Technicians and Paramedics over a seven-county area, including continuing education programs for national certification. The Center also actively participates in planning for the management and prevention of disasters countywide.
