The leadership team being assembled by Methodist Hospitals Chief
Executive Officer Ian McFadden has added new members.
Michael Davenport was appointed chief medical officer and vice
president of medical affairs, and Lynda Goldman was named interim
vice president of human resources.
Davenport had been chief medical officer and vice president of
medical affairs for 12 years at Advocate Trinity Hospital, an urban
safety-net community hospital in Chicago.
He is a graduate of Yale University and the University of Illinois
Medical school.
Goldman was vice president of human resources and chief learning
officer at Samaritan Health System in Watertown, New York, and has
more than 22 years experience in the human resources related work.
McFadden began expanding the Methodist Hospitals leadership team
after being named CEO last year.
Loren Chandler was named chief financial officer in October.
In December, Tony Jones, a former president of Atlanta based VSE
Healthcare Partners, was named Methodist vice president of
operations and Michele Major, formerly chief nursing officer of
Community Hospital in Munster, was named chief nursing officer.
McFadden took the helm at Methodist in early September, capping a
career built on turning around troubled health care facilities.
Methodist has facilities in Merrillville and Gary.
