Gary, Indiana – April 23, 2012 Merievelyn Stuber, Patient Safety Officer at Methodist Hospitals, was appointed to serve as the new president of the Northwest Indiana Patient Safety Coalition (NWINPSC) on January 2012. Ms. Stuber is a 23 year employee of Methodist Hospitals and has held various positions at Methodist including her currently position as Patient Safety Officer. The coalition consists of representatives from area healthcare systems and academic institutions and provides a forum for area healthcare professionals to collaborate on quality and patient safety issues.
